Our Story

In October 2024, we came up with the idea for The Pattern's Place. As crafters ourselves, we couldn't find a place specifically built for the sewing and knitting community. Platforms like Etsy aren't designed for patterns—they're made for physical products. We thought the crafting community deserved better.

We're Gail and Alex. Gail has worked in fashion for 7 years and is about to graduate from a Salt Lake fashion program, bringing deep industry knowledge and a passion this community. Alex is a software developer, dedicated to building a platform that truly serves the crafting community.

This unique pairing allows us to understand both the creative needs of pattern designers and the technical requirements of building a modern, user-friendly marketplace. We combine Gail's fashion industry experience with Alex's ability to create intuitive, powerful technology—all designed specifically for pattern creators and crafters.
